How does it work?
Our applications use the standard Google Play Store license system, which is managed by the Play Store. It is automatic and no serial codes, data entry or key files are required.
Can I use the app without an internet connection?
Our apps work fully offline for 90 days at a time. When the 90 days has lapsed the app asks the Play Store for another offline licence and, provided the user has not refunded the app, another 90 days is automatically granted. The whole process is automatic.
How many installs can I have?
Unlimited. There are no limits on the number of installs or devices you can install the app on to. You simply need to sign in to your Google account on whatever devices you like and you may install the app on it.
How many licenses do I need?
You only need to purchase once per user. There are no limits on devices per user.
If I upgrade to a new phone will I need to re-purchase the app?
No. Simply add your purchasing (Google) account to your new phone and you will be able to install from the Play Store as normal.
I have a tablet as well as a phone - Can I install it on both at the same time?
Absolutely. Just add your purchasing (Google) account to both devices and install via the Play Store.
Does my purchase cover all future version updates/upgrades?
Yes. All of our product updates are free for the lifetime of the product.
Licensing and drm is irritating / I hate it / It's anti-consumer etc.
We hear you and honestly we'd prefer not to have any. Unfortunately we have experimented with removing it altogether in the past and it led to our sales dropping to the extent that it just wasn't feasible to continue development. It was really eye-opening to see just how bad casual piracy really is on the Android platform and I think many consumers underestimate the extent. As a developer of niche apps, we simply do not generate the revenue required to absorb these losses, so we've opted for a very basic implementation of the Play Store licensing model, which also permits regular offline use. If you are on the fence regarding our licensing or drm, then we'd say why not give our app a try and see how it works for you - we've tried to make it as seamless and unobtrusive as possible, but if you don't find it's a good fit for you, then email us and we'll refund you!
